Museum closes for summer – reopens 2026-08-11.
Our team, made up of both part-time staff and volunteers, is off just when you are – from Midsummer through August 11th, as usual. BUT we’re very often available digitally, and you can always reach us via the email links on this site.

Museum closed – Reopens January 13
Welcome back in January. And until then, we’re of course always available digitally.
Over 100 votes for the citizens’ proposal "Save Sundbyberg City Museum"
The citizens’ proposal now has just over 120 votes and will be brought before the City Council.
The museum has opened for autumn 2025
The museum is open again. See our opening hours here. Come and see all the wonderful, interesting things we’ve gathered about Sundbyberg. It’ll be here for at least fifteen more months.
New opening hours
During spring term 2024 we won’t have evening opening hours. If you’d still like to visit in the evening, it can be arranged – just call us to book a time.
